Intellectual Mandate
The Journal of Institutional Architecture and Continuity studies how institutions preserve authority, ownership, coordination, settlement, knowledge, memory and decision capacity across time and under conditions of structural change.
Continuity is treated not as passive persistence, but as a property of institutional design.
The journal examines the structures, rules and dependencies that determine whether an institution remains coherent when individuals change, markets fail, technologies evolve, jurisdictions diverge or established systems become unreliable.
Aims & Scope
The journal publishes theoretical, conceptual, empirical, comparative and methodological research on institutional architecture and continuity across public, private and hybrid systems.
Its scope includes governance, ownership and control, settlement infrastructure, institutional memory, succession, institutional reasoning, AI-mediated decision architecture, resilience, irreversibility, optionality and structural dependency.
The journal is interdisciplinary, but deliberately not generalist. The sector may vary. The institutional question must remain central.
Disciplinary Boundaries
The journal considers work only where institutional structure, authority, dependency, continuity or failure forms part of the research problem itself.
It does not publish general management, conventional market analysis, policy advocacy, purely technical AI or blockchain research, operational business-continuity studies, promotional material or descriptive case studies without transferable analytical value.
An institution may be the setting of a paper without being its subject.
